Vico Office is a database application, not a traditional file-based application. As such, we offer the additional installation guide and installation checklist to help customers correctly configure the Vico Office Client, the Vico Project Server, and the Vico License Manager.
The guide and checklist also enumerate important installation troubleshooting, such as firewall settings and the necessary open ports. Your IT Department will appreciate reading through the guide and checklist before starting the installation process.
For your convenience, you can also download the new Vico Office R3 Release Notes, the R3.1 Release Notes, the R3.2 Release Notes, and the new Vico Office R3 Help File.
Vico Office uses a database developed by the Versant Corporation. The Versant database is an object oriented database, which provides the speed and flexibility that is needed for the model-based integration that is provided by Vico Office modules.
On some systems, the installation or operation of the Versant database may cause difficulties. The overview below provides an explanation for problems that you may encounter during the installation and/or execution of Vico Office.
