Vico Office is a database application, not a traditional file-based application. As such, we offer the additional Installation Guide, Installation Checklist, and Set Up Overview video to help customers correctly configure the Vico Office Client, the Vico Project Server, and the Vico License Manager.
The guide and checklist also enumerate important installation troubleshooting, such as firewall settings and the necessary open ports. Your IT Department will appreciate reading through the guide and checklist before starting the installation process.

Please note, Vico Office includes an easy-to-follow Installation Wizard, but there are important modifications your IT Department should make to ensure the Versant Database is correctly installed and communicating with your workstation and your teammates.
Vico Office uses a database developed by the Versant Corporation. The Versant database is an object oriented database, which provides the speed and flexibility that is needed for the model-based integration that is provided by Vico Office modules.
On some systems, the installation or operation of the Versant database may cause difficulties. The overview below provides an explanation for problems that you may encounter during the installation and/or execution of Vico Office.
The most common difficulties with installation are outlined in the table below:
