Hawthorne Hotel

Vico has partnered with The Hawthorne Hotel to host The Summit with extraordinary hospitality.

The hotel is part of the Historic Inns of America program and features 18th-century antiques in many of the guestrooms and throughout the public spaces.  It’s quite a charming hotel and devoted to the success of The Summit.

The hotel is named after Salem’s very own Nathaniel Hawthorne, and features portraits of him throughout the space.  Both The House of Seven Gables and The Scarlet Letter are based in Salem and many of the landmarks are easy to spot throughout the town.

Also visible to guests on the eastern side of the hotel is the harbor and the docked Friendship, a replica of the largest wooden ship certified by the Coast Guard.  It was in this harbor that ships set sail for the far reaches of the globe with lumber and cod, and returned with spices and textiles.

And should you have any one-on-one meetings in the Vico office, it is literally a straight shot from the front door of the Hawthorne to the front door of Vico following the Essex Street Mall.

We have several room types available, from standard to small suites.  The prices start at $155/night and reservations can be made online through The Hawthorne Hotel or by phone at +1.800.729.7829.  When using the special reservation website, please select the radial button for Group Guest and enter our special code: VICO0812 when prompted.  Should you call the hotel directly for your reservations, please mention you are with the Vico Summit to be included in our reserved block of rooms.
