Virtual Construction is going to school!  Any institution engaged in teaching formal, recognized construction management courses can use Vico Office. We offer floating laboratory installation packages for the classroom. 

 

Whether your school is trying to win the ASCM Reno BIM Competition or simply introducing the latest BIM technologies to your construction management students, Vico offers its award-winning 3D-4D-5D BIM software free of charge.

 

We do not offer Vico Office to individual students, only classrooms and computer laboratories. We must also stress that these education licenses are not for commercial use or consulting of any kind.

 

How the Program Works

The team at Vico Software is happy to help you get Vico Office for your classroom. 

 

Step One: Make sure your computer laboratory meets our system requirements, and that the machines are installed with at least one BIM modeling platform like ArchiCAD, Tekla, or Revit.

 

Step Two: Professors, please fill out the form below to request the number of licenses for your students.

 

Step Three: Respond to the email requesting your academic credentials.  Also include the name and email address of your department's IT Manager.

 

Step Four: We will work with your department's IT Manager to deliver the Vico Office licenses.

 

Step Five: Your IT Manager will install the floating Vico Office configuration for your classroom computer laboratory using the installation guide and checklist.

 

Step Six: You and your students can access the additional materials available in the Vico Office Student Care Package.

 

Step Seven: We simply have one request: please ask your webmaster to place the following link on your school's department page >> Vico Software supports our Construction Management program.

 

Training and support:

Vico Software provides a wealth of training materials and resources in the Vico Office Student Care Package.  Many professors also utilize the archived Fridays with Vico webinar program to supplement their curriculum, making the episodes part of the "required reading list" or hosting informal gatherings to watch the movies.

 

We do not offer technical support to individual students, this is the responsibility of the staff within the academic institution.  But we invite universities to join the Vico LinkedIn User Group where the user community offers tips, best practices, and insights.
